Thank you for the contact and research into our genealogical ties. It seems that Thomas through Winifred and his second wife Margaret Had many descendants so there must be a lot of us 7th cousins running around. It took me awhile to retrace back to Winifred . When I saw that she was from Culpeper Co VA I got excited because my 4th great grandfather Edward Morin was born in Culpeper Co about the same time. I have never found a good connection back for him. Several people list a A or E Morin, born in Scotland has his father but I've never found solid records to support that. I thought Winifred might give me a new lead. Alas she was tied to my Mother's family as my 6th great grandmother. For me that line has always been hard to trace because the same surnames keep popping for several generations. They all seem to marry each other's siblings as the families moved westward over the generations. I guess there was little reason to court more that 2 or 3 farms over.

Looks like we are 7th cousins. We also share DNA in Gedmatch.
Leo Morin and Sherry Holston are both descendants of Winifred (Starling) Camp (1720-1761). I ran a Matrix in Tier1 Gedmatch and 4 of us share Camp Dna. Best Regards, Sherry

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
Links to External Sites and Services will help with correctly formatting the link to your Ancestry Tree.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

I am pleased to welcome you as a member of the WikiTree family. Your contributions will go a long way to joining the world’s trees together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
Please add as much information as you can, with sources, as it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree. Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to start with yourself and add sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. The more branches you are able to add the greater the likelihood of finding potential cousins to match with. 24 hours later, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches which relate to the particular branches you are researching.
Have fun collaborating on your ancestors

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:GEDCOM Should give you more information about GEDCOMs. At WikiTree, you can import a GEDCOM, but then have to go through a matching process called GEDcompare, to make sure none of your ancestors have profiles on WikiTree already.
One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.
