Biography

Rufus Williams was born 1827 in Mississippi. He is the son of Jordan Williams and Mary Thompson. [1] Rufus married Sarah Elizabeth Robinson, 1852, Yalobusha County, Mississippi. In 1860 they are recorded on the federal census in Yalobusha County. [2] Rufus died 1863. He is buried at Confederate Cemetery North Alton, Madison County, Illinois. [3]
