Delilah Williams was born about 1797 in Sampson County and died 15 June 1853 in Decatur County, Georgia. She married Robert Maxwell (J.5), son of Thomas Maxwell and Mary McPhail. Robert was born about 1789 in Sampson County and died before 1850, probably in Decatur County. Ten children. See Chapter 21 of Coherie to Cape Fear.

2.8. Delilah Williams 3 (John1), daughter of Robert Williams and Susan Daniels, was born about 1797 and died 15 June 1853. She married Robert Maxwell (J.5) who was born about 1789 and died before the 1850 Census, son of Thomas Maxwell and Mary McPhail.

They are listed in the 1820 Census of Sampson County with three males and one female 26 to 45 years old and one male and one female under 10 years of age. Robert received $50 and one negro boy in his father's will.
