Biography

Francis (Williams) Hampton is a part of US Black heritage.

Francis Hetty Williams was born about 22 Nov 1867 in Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio, United States of America. She was the daughter of Allen Williams and Ellen Bell.^[1][2][3] She grew up in Gallipolis.^[4]

Francis had a daughter, Bertha, around 1887. In 1900, they were living in East Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.^[5]

Francis married Jesse Hampton on 14 Dec 1904 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.^[2] In 1910, they were living in Cleveland and Jesse was working as a janitor while Francis worked as a cook.^[6] Jesse died in 1913.

Francis died on 16 Feb 1945 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.^[1]
