Biography

William Vaughan was the son of James and Sarah Vaughan.

He married Arabella Williams with whom he had 10 children:

  6. James
  7. Minerva
  8. Jehoiada
  9. Mariah
  10. Sarah

Vaughan's were French, but not Catholic, so when Protestants were being killed, the Vaughans left with the Huguenots. They went to England from France and settled in Wales until they came to America.

When the earliest research of Jackson and Horine got really tough, I leaned upon the neighbors and marriage record spouses to explore more of the locale. Tell as much as you can about Vaughn and I might be picking up a clue. Thanks for the depth in you last merge comment.

Vaughan-4671 and Vaughan-171 appear to represent the same person because: I didn't realize this Vaughan was already here, because I initially misspelled the name, so WikiTree did not alert me to the duplicate. I even looked first! But good programing cannot overcome sloppy spelling! My Bad. On the bright side, I am bringing a few more sources to the table!

Vaughan-171 and Vaughan-3244 appear to represent the same person because: Vaughan-3244 was created without knowing Vaughan-171 existed. Same wife and both described as the Vaughan in the reference.
