Biography

Mark Thornell was born in 1845 in Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire, England,^[1] the son of Ann (Lock) Thornell and Henry Thornhill.

He migrated to Australia at the age of 7, arriving on the 'Marian Moore' on 15 February 1853.^[2]

He married Elizabeth Murphy in 1874 in Victoria.^[3] Their children were:^{[citation needed]}
