Biography

Sarah Thornell (married name Mills) was born in 1843 in Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire, England,^[1] the daughter of Ann (Lock) Thornell and Henry Thornhill.

She migrated to Australia with her family on the ship 'Marian Moore', arriving on 15 February 1853.^[2]

She married Israel Mills in 1868 in Victoria.^[3] Their children were:^{[citation needed]}

• Eliza Ann Mills (1871–?)
• Alice May Mills (1879–?)
