Eleanor (Smithson) Iveson was born in Bolton upon Swale, Yorkshire, England.

Hellen Smithson, the daughter of Mr Geo Smithson, was born in the parish of Bolton upon Swale, Yorkshire and baptised on 26 January 1661/2 in St Mary's Church, Bolton upon Swale, Yorkshire, England.^[1] The Parish Register Baptism record was described as Anno Domini 1661. M^rs: Hellen Smithson daugh: of M^r: Geo: was baptized Janu: y^e: 26.

Eleanor Smithson married Rev. Wm. Iveson, Vicar of Catterick on May 4, 1693.^[2]

Her brother John Smithson's will proved York, October 9, 1701. It is a long document, full of family details, and mentions his eldest sister Elionor Iveson and Rev. Wm Iveson,^[2]
