John F. married Dona Shirley, 14 Aug 1904. ^[1]

1910 census reports "house carpenter," and WWI Draft registration reports "carpenter," and tall and slender with blue eyes and gray hair, at age 45. ^[2] and 1920 reports "house carpenter.

1930 census reports "coal miner."

Issue in evidence include; William Franklin "Chuck", Criss Arnold, Hampton, Novella, Velma Irene, and Lee Roy Slatton.

John F. passed away in 1962 ^[3] and is buried at Red Hill, Whitwell, Marion, Tennessee. ^[4]
