Biography

Domenica Salemi is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Stefano Salemi and Bernarda Russo, who married there in 1852. Domenica is named after her paternal grandmother.^[1]

Stefano dies of pneumonia at age 46 in the hospital in Corleone, on 17 February 1871. He lives in the quarter of S. Giuliano, Corleone.^[2]

Domenica marries Francesco Mancuso, son of Rocco Mancuso and Lucia Traina, on 29 September 1883.^[3]

Francesco and Domenica have at least three children: Rocco (c. 1885), Stefano (c. 1890), and Lucia (1891).

I estimate Rocco is born a couple of years after his parents marry. He is named after his paternal grandfather.

Stefano is born around 1890, based on his reported age at marriage. He is named after his maternal grandfather.
