Parmelia Redman was born in 1806 in Iredell, North Carolina, United States, daughter of Hosea Redman (~1783–~1865) and Lucretia Williams (1775–1865). Parmelia was listed on the 1880s census, age 78. She was not listed in a 1900s census.
Parmelia married Holman (Tom) Morgan, date unknown (son John was born about 1833) and they had 2 sons.

Hosea Redman of Iredell, NC declares this to be his last will and testament.
To my son, Darnadus Redman I leave the tract of land he now lives on with a tract adjoining known as the Silas Hartney? tract.
I will to my son Erastus Redman 1/2 of the ?Ear Tract of land inclu___ the improvements he has made on the west side of said tract by his given me a discharge of a claim held in his grandfathers Estate.
I will to my son Absolum Redman the remaining part of the ?Ear tract of land being on the East of said tract with all the improvements he has made.
I will to my son G. W. Redman my home tract of land I now live on with all the improvements. Also the Panter Holler tract of land containing 50 _____.
I will to my son Thomas Redman a tract of land known as the Jolly tract by him (Thos) paying back to my Estate 300 dollars.
I give to my daughter Parmelia Morgan one Girl Emeline and child that she now in possession. Also one boy Nilson.
I will to my daughter Jane Green one Girl Lidia that she has now in possession, Also one girl Bettie.
I will that the remaining part of my Negroes be equally divided between my 6 sons ( Darnadus, Erastus, John T, Thomas, Absolum and G.W. Redman by my son Thomas paying back to my Estate $31 with it's interest since the 12 day of June 1834.
As I have never given my son John T Redman any land, I will and bequeath with the said John T Redman $500 to be paid out of my estate.
I will that all of my cash and all of my debts due and demands together will all of my st? of every description, all of my household and kitchen furniture, all of my farming tools of every kind with every article of property not before mentioned togetehr with a tract ofland known as the Crooked Branch Tract to be sold and equally divided amongst all of my children (viz D.Redmn, Erastus REdman, John T Redman, Thos Redman, A Redman, GW Redman, Permelia Morgan and Jane Green.
In Testimony when I have set my hand and seal Feb. 22, 1865.
