By virtue of executions issued from Iredell Superior Court finding in favor of Absalom Redman and others against Darnadus Redman. This is a notice of a sale of about 175 acres land owned by Darnadus Redman on Rocky Creek adjacent to Joel Mayberry, Erastus Redman and others to be sold 2 Feb 1882 at Statesville, NC.

Darnadus Redman acknowledges he was paid $500 by Joseph and Mary Kemp for tract of land in Iredell county lying on the waters of Rocky Creek.

I Darnadus Redman of the County of Iredell and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory declare this to be my last Will and Testament 1st: I Will and bequeath to my daughter Mary Keamp my home tract of land I now live on and her alone 2nd: I will that the said Mary Keamp shall pay to my son Lee Redman two hundred dollars said money not to be paid till she the said Mary Keamp shall have made said two hundred dollars out of said lands by rents arising from said land. 3rd: I also will to my said daughter Mary Kemp one other tract of land containing 63 acres, 50 acres of which was sold under a Mortgage by J B Connelly to settle a bill of cash in Iredell Supreme Court and purchased by R D Redman. I paid forty dollars of said debt to A Redman out of the personal property of Thomas Redman, deceased, which was due me in said estate. Now after the said Mary Keamp shall pay the remainder of said debt she is to have said land. 4th: I will to my said daughter Mary Keamp all of my household and kitchen furniture. 5th: I will to Susan Webb forty bushels of corn after taking out what she has used of said forty bushels of corn, said corn is what I was to give said Susan Webb and her daughter Cordelia Webb for their Summers Work 1887 and for waiting on me in my sickness. 6th: I will to the said Susan Webb one black and white faced cow and calf of said cow, also the meat of one hog for waiting on me in my sickness. 7th: All the balance of my personal property to be sold by my Executor heresafter to be appointed & said executor to hold said moneys iin his hands and pay to my lawyer to Prosecute my claims in a lawsuit now pending in the Superior Court of Iredell between me and R D Redman. 8th: And lastly I appoint James W Williams my lawful Executor to this my last Will & Testament to all intents and purposes to execute according to the true interest and meaning of the same and every part and claus thereof. In witness whereof, I the said Darnadus Redman do Hereto set my hand and seal this 24 day of January 1888.
