Dorothy (Prickett) Morgan was born in Monongalia County, Virginia.

Dorothy Prickett was born on 15 October 1777 in Monongalia County, Virginia],^[1]the sixth of eleven children and the fifth of seven daughters of Josiah and Charity Taylor Prickett.

On 25 March 1792, when she was just fourteen, she married James Morgan on Pricketts Creek in Monongalia County. She bore him thirteen children, six sons and seven daughters, includig:

Alternate place of marriage: Morgantown, Monongalia County, Virginia.^[2]

In 1853, when she was in her mid-seventies, she died in Marion County, Virginia],^[3] of unknown causes. She is buried in an unknown location in Marion County.^[4]
