Florence Ellen Gertrude Mosley was born on March 21, 1857, at Cheadle Bulkeley, Cheshire, England. Her birth was registered at Cheadle on April 27, 1851. She was a daughter of Thomas Mosley and Eliza Shea Mosley.
Florence can be identified in the UK census data for 1861, living at 11 Manchester Road, Cheadle Bulkeley, Cheshire, with her parents and siblings.
By about 1865 she appears to have returned to Gibraltar with her parents and two siblings. In fact, census data from Gibraltar in 1871 show Florence living with her parents and her brother Harry at 14 years of age. She doesn't appear in the UK census data again until 1921.
On October 13, 1915, Florence arrives in London from Gibraltar aboard the "Kaisar-i-Hind", listing an address in Hampstead, London.
As of the 1921 census data, Florence is a visitor, or perhaps guest would be a more appropriate term, at 21 Queensberry Place, Kensington, London, England, which appears to be a private hotel.
Florence passed away on November 24, 1936, at the British Empire Hotel, 28 De Vere Gardens, Kensington, London, where she appears to have been living. She was still a spinster (as stated in the probate of her will) at 79 years of age.
