[She was] born Dec 7, 1785 in Morgantown, West Virginia and died July 11, 1865 near Eugene, OR. She was married in 1805 in Monongalia Co, West Virginia to Jonathan Butler. She is believed to be buried in this cemetery but there is no stone to mark her grave and in 1930 the Lewis and Clark Chapter of the D.A.R. erected a monument in the Masonic Cemetery in Eugene in memory of Sarah Morgan Butler, daughter of Rev. James Morgan and his wife Hannah Cox.
