He married Hannah Cox in 1778. In late 1806, they moved their family of 10 children to Ohio and in 1808 settled in Wayne County, Ohio, near Wooster. He died in 1823 and was buried in Franklin Township, Wayne County, Ohio, in the Butler-Morgan cemetery south of Moreland.

Morgan-29110 and Morgan-15943 are not ready to be merged because: Morgan-29110 has a birth date that is quite different from Morgan-15943. It's possible that two James Morgans have been conflated, and it would be best to make sure Morgan-29110 has been connected to the correct family.
Morgan-29110 and Morgan-15943 appear to represent the same person because: The dates are off, but these appear to represent the same man.
