Lafayette Morgan lived with the Huff family during the 1850 Census. He was married 07 August 1853, to Sarah Ann Oden (apparently applied for a marriage license on 16 July 1853).
The 1860 Census (Jay County, Indiana) shows them with two children, James (age 4) and Susanna (age 3). James and Susanna (ages 14 and 13) then show up in the same township in Jay County, Indiana, in the 1870 Census (plus a brother Elias Morgan age 8).
Lafayette Morgan became a Private in Co. H of the 100th Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and was killed on 27 December 1863 in Alabama (reburied in Tennessee). Widow's Certificate Number 606784 and Minors Certificate Number 108174.
Sarah remarried in 1867 to Jonathan Cain.
