Biography

: Sarah Morgan^[1] was born on 22 November 1793^[2] in Mongongalia County, Virginia, the fourth of twelve children and the second of seven daughters of James and Margaret Jolliff Morgan.

On 8 April 1819, when she was twenty-five, she married Joshua Parrish. She bore him one known child, a daughter whom they named Margaret.^[3]

On 27 September 1854, when she was sixty-one, in Georgetown, Vermilion County, Illinois], of unknown causes.

Joshua Parrish appears in the 1850 United States Federal Census as a 57-year-old literate miller (probably should be farmer) with $1500 in real property, living with his literate wife, Sarah, and teen-aged son.
