Biography

Maria Morello is born and baptized on 21 March 1825, named after her paternal grandmother. She is the daughter of Calogero Morello and Antonina Crapa. Her godparents are Giuseppe and Francesca Crapa, a married couple.

Maria marries Biagio Mule' on 12 November 1841. Her father has died by this time.

Biagio and Maria have at least three children: Antonina (c. 1845), Francesca (c. 1859), and Maria (c. 1879).

Antonina is named after her maternal grandmother. I estimate she is born around 1845, the same year as her second husband.

I estimate Francesca Paola is born around 1859, twenty years before she marries.

I estimate Maria is born around 1879, twenty years before she marries.

Antonina marries at least twice, first to Giuseppe Patella, at an unknown date.

Francesca Paola marries Antonino Lucera on 28 September 1879. Biagio and Maria are both still living at this time.

Maria, the daughter, marries Antonino Saporito, a widower, on 6 January 1896. By this time, Biagio has died.^[1]

Antonina remarries to Calogero Grizzaffi, who is also a widower, on 28 June 1902. By this time, Biagio has died.

Death of Maria

Maria dies, reportedly at age 85 (actually, she is almost 79) on 16 February 1904. She is the daughter of the late Calogero Morello and Antonina Crapa, and widow of Biagio Mule'.^[2]
