Viscount Hawarden is a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created in 1793 for Sir Cornwallis Maude, 3rd Baronet, of Dundrum, who had earlier represented Roscommon in the Irish House of Commons. He had already been created Baron de Montalt, of Montalt of Hawarden in the County of Tipperary, in 1785, also in the Peerage of Ireland. His seat in Dundum was what is now Dundrum House Hotel and the Dower House.(http://en.wikipedia.org)
