Biography

Robert was born in 1784, the third son of the 1st Viscount Hawarden and was educated at Trinity College Cambridge, M.A. 1806.

Hon. Robert William Henry Maude was presented to the Deanery of Clogher in 1826 and installed May 27 (D.R.). During his occupancy of the Deanery his brother held the Precentorship, and their sister was married to the Bishop, Lord Robert S. Tottenham.

DEATH OF DEAN MAUDE.

We regret to state that a telegraph has been received in Dublin, announcing the death the Hon. and Rev Robert W T. Maude, Dean of Clogber. Dean Maude, who was an uncle of the present Viscount Hawarden, was born in August, 1784, and was therefore in his 78th year. He married in May, 1827, Hon Elizabeth Mary Prettie (sic), eldest daughter of Hon Francis Albborough Prettie (sic), father of the present Lord Dunally. Dean Maude held the living as well as the Deanery of Clogher.

His Will was proved by his widow (name given as Mary Elizabeth Martha Maude), 7th December, 1861. ^[1]
