Biography

Anna was born on 4 February 1822 in Somerset, Somerset, Pennsylvania.^[1] She was christened on 9 May 1822 at the German Reformed Church, Stoyestown, Somerset, Pennsylvania.^[2]

In 1850 she and her husband Perry Kauts who was a wagon maker were living in Jenner, Somerset, Pennsylvania and had three children: Sarah, 5; Samuel, 3; and Josephine, 2. Also living with the them was a Chamber Kauts, a saddler, who was 22.^[3] Chamber was Perry's brother. Perry & Anna's fourth child was Charles Francis.

In 1870 they lived in Porter, Porter, Indiana. Children living with them were Josephene, 22, and Charles, 18. There was a John Kring, 30, also living with them.^[4] John Kring married Josephine.

She died on 11 May 1872 at Kouts, Porter, Indiana. She is buried in the Spencer Cemetery, Kouts, Porter, Indiana.^[5]
