Hilda May King was born 10th April, 1892, at Inveresk, Tasmania. She was the daughter of William King and Alice Quarry. Her father was a Fireman on S.S. "Cooper". Mother may have been known as Martha Richards, nee King. see burial Thompson family.

Hilda King passed away in 1969, aged 77. Her death was registered in Oakleigh, Victoria, giving Launceston, Tasmania, as her birthplace and naming her parents William King and Alice Quarry.

Hilda King did spend a greater proportion of her life in care of and working with Sisters at Good Shepherd Sisters, Abbotsford. Her date of birth confirmed and place of birth Tas, Launceston. Parents Alice Quarry (Dec) Father (re-married) William King. Fireman in boat.
