BIRTH-----

Mary King was born circa Feb 15, 1755, to Charles King & Elizabeth Tabb King.

She is sister to Miles King.

MARRIAGE-----

Circa 1767, Mary King married Col. Francis Mallory(c.1748-1781), the son of Johnson Mallory & Diana Tabb Mallory. ^[1]

ISSUE-----

Their children are:

• Diana Mallory (c.1768-1810) m. George Wray. Named in mother's will.
• Mary King Mallory (c. Jan 20, 1768-March 30, 1830) ^[2] died in Henry, Kentucky. Named in her mother's will.
• Elizabeth King Mallory (c. March 21, 1871-March 30, 1850) died in Henry, Kentucky. Named in her mother's will.
• Charles King Mallory (c.1781-1820) Lt. Gov. of Virginia during War of 1812. ^[3] m. Frances Lowry Stevenson. Named in his mother's will.
• Perhaps a Francis Mallory born sometime after his father's death but not mentioned in his mother's will.

WIDOWED-----

Mary King Malloy was widowed March 8,1781, when her husband, Col. Francis Mallory was killed at Tomkins Bridge in a running fight with the enemy. ^[4]

DEATH-----

The Last Will and Testament of Mrs. Mary Mallory of Elizabeth City County is dated 20 Jan 1789 and proved 24 Apr 1789, in Elizabeth City County, Virginia. ^[5]

To son Charles King Mallory the Marsh adjoining the land whereon she then lived. Her negro boy James to Mr. Meritt Moore. The remainder of her negroes to be equally divided among her three children, Elizabeth King Mallory, Mary King Mallory and Charles King Mallory:

"to be kept together until either of them shall come to age or marry and then equally divided, and if either of my said children should die underage, I then give the negroes to the survivor or survivors not including mv daughter Wray."

Her clothes to be divided equally between her daughters Elizabeth King Mallory and Mary King Mallory. Her large red trunk, one bed and furniture to her daughter, Diana Mallory Wray. Her watch to her son Charles King Mallory. Appoints her brother Miles King executor. Witness: Martha King, Hannah Westwood. ^[6]
