recently changes were made to the data. I don't find a source for the death date that was changed.

Someone please check this out. See [1] where it says at the bottom: "... William King late of Salem deceased son of William King Senior of Salem abovesaid ... deceased in the year forty nine or thereabouts..."

Thank you.

I have read the passage, and it appears that the reference is to William's father, William, who died in 1650. It cannot be referring to William of this profile, the son William, as he was one of the administrators of his father's estate. Son William filed a legal document in March 1652[3?], which shows at the was alive them. In the deposition of John Weston, taken in 1699/1700, Weston says that the William of this profile remained in possession of the family home until after 1662. Also, William married in 1652, so he was not the William who died in "1649."

Confusing records: See both estates.

William King's (estate Nov. 25, 1684; will seems to be missing), in 1719, Samuel King, nephew to William King, son of John King was granted administration of Wm's estate after the death of relict widow Katherine King. (So her death date is incorrect as well) Essex County, MA: Probate File Papers, 1638-1881 Case 15820: p.1-8 subscription https://www.americanancestors.org/DB515/i/13769/15820-co1/245464286

Katherine's will written January , 1708/9, appears she died by December, 1718; inventory- Jan. 1, 1719: Case 15805:p. 1-8: In her will she says her husband William's will, written in 1684, left his entire estate to her. She then makes bequests to cousin's named Stone, etc. . It then gets more confusing because a Katherine King, wife of a William King died on Dec. 17, 1718, AGED 22 , would not have been the wife of William when he wrote his will in 1684. ????? So that death record is for a different woman.

I was trying to find out what happened to him after he was banished for becoming a Quaker. From above looks as though he went to Canada?
