George was born on the 18th October 1868 in Crayford, Kent the son of Thomas Hollett (~1822 - ~1892) and Margaret (Rook) Hollett (1830 - 1877), and his birth was registered in the 4th quarter 1868 in Dartford, Kent.[1][2]
1871 Census on the 2nd April 1871 George was living with his parents Thomas and Margaret in Wainscott, Frindsbury, Kent.[3]
George married Charlotte Elizabeth Shilling (1872 - 1924) on the 20th July 1890 in Holy Trinity Church, Sittingbourne, Kent. She was the daughter of George Davis Shilling a carpenter. The witnesses were Alfred Albert Hollett and Jane Hollett, probably George's siblings.The marriage was registered in the 3rd quarter 1890 in Milton, Kent.[4][5]

1891 Census on the 5th April 1891 George a brickfield labourer, was living in Eastbourne Street, Sittingbourne, Kent with his wife Charlotte, and their son Gorge and Charlotte's father George Shilling.[6]
1901 Census on the 1st March 1901 George a general labourer, was living in Bush Hill Park, St Mark's, Enfield, Middlesex with his wife Charlotte, and their children George, Margaret, Mary and Thomas.[7]
