Biography

Mary was born about 1856 the daughter of Thomas Hollett (~1822 - ~1892) and Margaret (Rook) Hollett (1830 - 1877), and she was christened on the 16th December 1856 in Sittingbourne, Kent.[1]

Mary's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1856 in the Milton district, Kent.[2]

1861 Census on the 7th April 1861 Mary was living in Church Hill, Crayford, Kent with her parents Thomas and Margaret, and her sisters Lavinia and Margaret. Also living there was John Hollett aged 15 shown as Thomas' son but a source for his birth has not been found.[3]

1871 Census on the 2nd April 1871 Mary was living in Wainscott, Frindsbury, Kent with her parents Thomas and Margaret, and her siblings Lavinia, Margaret, Thomas, Albert, Elizabeth and George.[4]

Mary married Alfred John Rainer and the marriage was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1877 in the Milton district, Kent.[5]

Mary's death (age 21) was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1878 in the Milton district, Kent.[6]
