Biography

Thomas Heisler (55) is on the 1911 census with wife Eva (49) and their family; Collins (28), Morris (21), Florence (18), Avery (12), and Howard (8). I suspect the family before Thomas and Eva's is also a son; William Heisler (25) with wife Edith (25) and their young children Matilda (2) and Clarence (2 months). There is also Benjamin Heisler (62) and family as well as Ruben (36) with a large young family; likely a brother of Thomas and his son. ^[1]

Alexander Wilson (48) son of Alexander Wilson and Sarah Rodenhizer married Florence Evelyn Heisler (33) daughter of Thomas Heisler and Eva Angeline Cross on 17 Oct 1926 at Tancook.^[2]

Alexander Wilson (79) passed on 30 Oct 1955 at Tancook.^[3] His parents are listed as Alexander and Sara Wilson and his wife survived him.

MRS FLORENCE WILSON - The death occurred of Mrs Florence Wilson at Wentzell Nursing Home at Clearland on November 29th at the age of 74 years, after a lengthy illness. She was born and lived at Tancook Island. She was the widow of the late Alexander Wilson and was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Thomas Heisler of Tancook. She was a member of the Baptist Church and also a member of B W M S. Before failing health, she was a member of the choir.^[4]

She leaves to mourn, one son Donald; and a daughter Selvia (Mrs Andrew Young), both of Montreal. The funeral service took place on Friday afternoon at the Baptist Church, Tancook, with Rev George Sharpe officiating. Hymns sung were 'God Will Take Care of You' and 'Beautiful River'. Special hymn by the choir was 'Beautiful Robe'. Pall bearers were Lawrence Wilson, William Langille, Roland Stevens and Wallace Cross. Interment was at Tancook Island Cemetery.
