Biography
When MARTHA ELIZABETH HAMMOND was born in 1765 in Virginia, her father, Ambrose, was 43 and her mother, MILDRED, was 27. She married THOMAS HOLLAND JR. on May 7, 1795, in Greenville, South Carolina. They had ten children in 22 years. She died in 1857 in Lawrence, Tennessee, at the impressive age of 92, and was buried there.
