Hi Jack,

It's nice to meet you! Your third great-grandfather Stephen Adams is my fifth great-grandfather which would make us fourth cousins, twice removed. I thought that was interesting. Have a great week!

I found your name on Belcher. Trying to confirm Sarah by Atdna, I am building a database and I added you, to see who you match. Your Mary Blevins/Joshua Stamper has to be related to my William Blevins/Mary Stamper of Ashe Co. This William is a brother of my grandmother Rachel Blevins, parents Nathan Blevins/Lydia Vaughn. I have her parents as John Blevins and Catherine Cox as her parents. I could be wrong. I am sure I got it from Ron Blevins years ago. I will check to see what else I have. I am certain that the Belcher is right, but not certain where. How postive are you your Landreth?

I read your question on Phillips-4220. Have you been to the Phillips DNA website? This John Phillips' grandfather is the Michael and Barbara Phillips in Newport, RI. Here is a link to that website: https://phillipsdnaproject.com It has several family groups of DNA markers. Interesting you have Adams and Mullins from Kentucky. They are names from my mother's side whose families moved further into Missouri, from Virginia and Kentucky. I believe there is a Phillips family group that moved south after arriving to New England. There may be info on that website about the connection. Good luck and let me know how you find your John phillips connection.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Jack, only a portion of your message came through so I don't know who you might have in your tree that is connected to me but I'm very interested. My Buntins came from Halifax CO, VA to Person CO, NC, to Indiana and finally my line ended in Hopkins County, KY. Any info is appreciated and I will certainly share what I have.
We're starting up a one name study for Hollingsworth! Join us over at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Hollingsworth_Name_Study for some good old fashioned genealogical collaboration.

Hi Jack

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 475 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Here is a list of our WikiTree projects you might like to check out: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects

Why don't you also stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Dorothy, Volunteer Coordinator.
