William was born in 1866, his birth being registered in the 4th quarter of that year. He was the son of Edward Dyball and Fanny Pitt.
In the 1871 England Census he was living with his father Edward (34), mother Fanny (27), and three siblings Edward (6), Daniel (3) and Alexander (1) at London Street, St Andrew, Norwich, Norfolk, England. He was aged about 4. Also in the household were three other individuals.
Sadly his mother died in 1875, and then his father died as the result of a car accident in 1879.
England and Wales Census, 1881: Recorded in the household of his aunt and uncle Sarah and Edward Abbott at Cooks Lane, Norwich St George Tombland, Norwich, Norfolk, England. He was aged 14 and a scholar. Also in the household were his brothers Edward (16), Percival (12) and Alexander (11), as well as his 10 cousins, one visitor, one servant and one lodger.
At the age of 19 William emigrated from England to Australia with his older brother Edward, as an assisted immigrant, travelling on the ship Dorunda. They departed London on 7 April 1886 and arrived in Queensland on 2 June 1886.[1] His occupation was recorded as Carpenter. (His brothers Percival and Alexander also emigrated to Australia, as did his sister Mary.)
In the 1903 Australia Electoral Rolls he was recorded living at Greenbank, Wide Bay, Queensland. He was a Farmer.
He passed away in 1936, unmarried, and was buried at Bundaberg General Cemetery, Bundaberg, Bundaberg Region, Queensland, Australia[2]. Plot: Section; General
