Biography

Mary was born in about 1875, her birth being registered in the 1st quarter of that year[1]. She was the daughter of Edward Dyball and Fanny Pitt.

Sadly her mother died in 1875, and then her father died as the result of a car accident in 1879.

In the 1881 UK Census, 5 year old Mary was recorded in the household of her spinster aunt Mary Dyball (aged 38 and an annuitant) at The Mount Norwich Road, Wroxham, St Faiths, Norfolk, England. Also in the household was her older sister Fanny Jemima (8) and 34 year old servant Mary Ann Thompson.

Mary and Fanny emigrated from England to Australia on the Aberdeen in 1897, landing at Sydney.[2] Both were soon in Queensland.

She married Charles Henry Collins on 26 July 1900 in Queensland.[3]

She passed away in 1971.[4]
