Biography

Andre Dubreuil was born on Jul 15, 1730, and baptized the same day at St-François-de-Sales de l’Île-Jésus, Laval. He was the son of André Dubreuil (1695-1750) and Agathe Labelle (1709-1796). ^[1]

He married three times.

His first wife was Marie Anne Maguet (1730-1760), whom he married on Jan 8, 1754 at Rivière-des-Prairies, Montreal. Together they had the following known children:

1. André-Marie Dubreuil (1754-1816)
2. Marie Anne Dubreuil (1756-1762)
3. Augustin Dubreuil (1758-1817)
4. Marie Josephe Dubreuil (1760-1760)

Unfortunately, Marie Anne died due to complications of birth to her last child.

His second marriage was to Suzanne Duval (1732-1778), on July 19, 1762 at St-Ours. Together, they had the following known children:

1. Marie Elisabeth Suzanne Dubreuil (1763-1763)
2. Marie Geneviève Dubreuil (1764-1765)
3. Antoine Dubreuil (1765-1766) (twin)
4. Marie Josephe Dubreuil (1765-1766) (twin)
5. Touissant Dubreuil (1767-1782)

His third marriage was to Marie Marguerite Thecle Martineau (1735-), on Jan 19, 1784, and his wife was daughter of Pierre Martineau & Marie Genevieve Labbe.

He died on July 17, 1804, and was buried the next day on July 18, 1804 at Beloeil.
