Franklin Clazie was born at Murray Township, Ontario in 1863. He moved to the U.S. in 1888, attended dental school in Louisville, Kentucky, graduated in 1893. He married Jennie Delia Brown in 1894 at Oakland, California, where he established his dental practice. He died at Oakland in 1918, age 54.
