Biography

Biagia Cimino is born around 1895 in Denison, Texas, the daughter of Sebastiano Cimino and Rosa Badulato. Her parents are long-time residents of New York City.

Biagia is 21 (b. 1895) when she marries Giuseppe Lagumina, age 25 (b. 1891 in Corleone), son of Vincenzo Lagumina and Giuseppa Rumore, on 22 April 1916 in Manhattan. Her marriage record names Biagia's parents and her birthplace.^[1]

Richard Warner et al describe Giuseppe Lagumina as an associate of Giuseppe Morello, along with his uncle, Giovanni Rumore.^[2]

Biagia's sister, Antonia, is the widow of another known Morello associate, Fortunato lo Monte. After her husband is killed in 1914, Antonina and her children lived with Biagia and Giuseppe.^[2]

Giuseppe is denied citizenship because of "immoral character."^[2]

Giuseppe is killed 17 May 1921. ^[2]
