Charlotte Burns was born in February, 1833, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, to Francis Burns and Jane (nee Morgan) Burns.
The family moved from Pennsylvania to New York in c. 1843. They lived in northwestern New York state in Sweden, Monroe County, and then Bergen, Genesee County.
Charlotte married E. Tim Wilson, and they moved west to Illinois (where their daughter Hattie was born) and then to Michigan (where their daughter Lottie was born). Charlotte died in 1863, and her two daughters (Hattie and Lottie) grew up with Charlotte's parents.
Charlotte is buried in Mount Rest Cemetery in Bergen, New York.[1] Her tombstone lists her age as 30 years nine months.
