Biography

Moses was born on 31 Dec 1861. He was the son of King Brady and Susan Hardin.

The 1870 Census shows King 40, wife Susan 30, and children, Charlie 11; Moses 8; Eulalie 2; and Ella C. 6 months. They are living in Gordon, Georgia. ^[1]

The 1880 Census shows King (Henry) 51, and wife Susan 36, children, Charles 21; Moses 18; Mary E. Brady 10; Sarah Brady 6; and Amos W. 2. They are living in Precinct 4 Hood County, Texas. ^[2]

4 Aug 1895, Moses married D.V. Smith in Hood County. ^[3]

The 1900 Census shows King 70, wife Susan 59, son Moses 22 and single back at home, and grandchildren Susan 14 and Mike 11 (Charlie's children as he is deceased. Where's Jack?) What happened to Moses' wife? ^[4]

On 26 Dec 1909, Moses married Mrs. Elizabeth "Lizzie" Barton in Hood County. ^[5]

The 1910 Census shows Moses 49, farmer and wife Lizzie 39. His home is paid for and they are living in Hood County. ^[6]

The 1920 Census show Moses 57, a farmer, divorced and has his mother, Susan 79, widowed, living with him. ^[7]

The 1930 Census shows Moses 68, this one says widowed, and his mother 86. They are in Precinct 1, Hood County, Texas. ^[8]

The 1940 Census shows Moses 78, a farmer, and alone. The census says he is widowed. He owns his home. ^[9]

He passed away Saturday evening ,15 Dec 1945 at the Main Rest Home in Fort Worth at age 88. Services were held Sunday, 16 Dec 1945 at 4:00 p.m. at Fall Creek Methodist Church with Rev. Van P. Morrison officiating. He was survived by sister Sallie Mayfield of MorgansMills, and brother Walter Brady of Granbury. ^{[10] [11] [12]}
