"Joseph AUDET-LAPOINTE & Marie Charlotte JEAN=JAHAN-LAVIOLETTE were married 05 Nov 1725 at St-Jean, île d'Orléans, but neither the bride or groom's parents were named in that document. Marie Charlotte's baptismal record gives her parents names but Joseph's birth/baptism is not documented."

Bonjour,

Joseph Audet and Charlotte Jahan baptised a son, Joseph Marie, 2 Nov 1728 in St-Jean, île d'Orléans. Joseph is called "Joseph, le fils" (Joseph, the son) which means his father was also called Joseph. The godmother of the child is Jeanne Pouliot, "grand-mother of the child". Hence Joseph is the son of Jeanne Pouliot and Joseph Audet. ^[23]

Tanguay guessed wrong and Drouin and Dennissen just copied him.
