Biography

• Barbara was born 1944 in Detroit.
• She was the biological daughter of Theophile Oliver, and Marie Jeanne Gagnon.
• She was adopted as an infant by Felix P Wojcik (1910 MI – 1969 MI) and Renata Zdybicki (1911 MT – 2002 MI). The Wojcik's older daughter FWB was b. 1937 in Michigan.

• First marriage abt. 1964 to Marion John "Marty" Skiba (1940 Poland - 1995 MI). Four children, including:
  • David Carl Skiba (1967-2019)
  • Aaron Felix Skiba (1973-2014)
• They divorced abt. 1985.
• She had seven grandchildren.

• Second marriage in 1986 to Billie Joe Bobbitt (1931-1990).

• Barbara passed away 27 Aug 2021 in Florida.

• Paternal relationship confirmed by an Ancestry DNA match between Barbara and DB, 1696 cM across 64 segments, consistent with a half-sibling. Their most recent common ancestor is Theophile Oliver.
• Paternal relationship confirmed by an Ancestry DNA match between Barbara and MBO, 391 cM across 17 segments, consistent with a half-great-niece. Their MRCA is Theophile Oliver, Barbara's birth-father, and MBO's great-grandfather.
• Paternal relationship confirmed by an Ancestry DNA match between Barbara and LM, 312 cM across 18 segments, consistent with a second cousin. Their MRCA are Manuel Curt and Maria da Conceição Deniz. Barbara is grandaughter of their daughter Mabel, and LM is grandson of their daughter Maria Merces Curt.
• Paternal relationship confirmed by an Ancestry DNA match between Barbara and JC, 230 cM across 15 segments, consistent with a second cousin. Their MRCA are Manuel Curt and Maria da Conceição Deniz. Barbara is grandaughter of their daughter Mabel, and JC is grandson of their son Flimen.

• Maternal relationship confirmed by an Ancestry DNA test match, 29 cM across 3 segments, between Barbara and LMW, half-second cousins once removed. The MRCA is Lorenzo Lemieux. Barbara is a great-granddaughter of Lorenzo with his first wife Aurélie Mercier, by their daughter Marie-Blanche Lemieux. LMW is a great-great-granddaughter of Lorenzo with his second wife Florence Brault, by their son Hervey Lemieux (1903-1969).
• Maternal relationship confirmed by a GEDmatch one-to-one comparison (27.0 cM across three segments) between Barbara and RLD, third cousins. MRCA are their common great-great-grandparents, Joseph Mercier and Marie-Louise Lefrancois, Barbara by their daughter Aurelie, and RLD by their daughter Marie-Rose de Lima.
