Biography

Ellen suffered from Epilepsy in the day it was suggested the cause would be through swimming in the cold river. Ellen died when Lily was only ten days old at age of 29yrs., leaving 4 girls in care of their Granny - Elizabeth & Benjamin Adkins. Esther was 5yrs old, Mary Ella 6 and Elizabeth was 3 yrs Their father, William/Billy left before Ellen was buried and was found 6 yrs later married in Launceston to Alice Minnie Quarry, had 2 children, Hilda May & Alice Margaret in 1892 & 1894. Alice their mother died in 1895 at age 33. No records as to who cared for the children.
