Mary Wakefield was born in 1645 in New Haven to John Wakefield and his wife Ann. Her current parents are John Wakefield-54 and Ann Unknown-7825. I believe her correct parents should be John Wakefield-102 and Ann Unknown-13676. Sources for this information are Donald Lines Jacobus. Families of Ancient New Haven Vol VIII, page 1931, Homer Wakefield, M.D., Wakefield Memorial, Comprising an Historical, Genealogical, and Biographical Register of the Name and Family of Wakefield (Bloomington, Ill.: privately printed, 1897), pages 204-206, Leonard, Clarence Ettienne, The Fulton-Hayden-Warner Ancestry in America (New York: T. A. Wright, 1923), page 520.

Are there any objections to my changing the parents of Mary Wakefield--53?

Kay could you explain how John Wakefield-54 and Ann Unknown-7825 are different than       John Wakefield-102 and Ann Unknown-13676?

John Wakefield-54 (1615-1667), his wife, and children all lived and died in Boston. His widow Ann (1630-1703) remarried John Child in Boston after the death of Wakefield-54.

John Wakefield-102 (? -1660), his wife, and three daughters all lived and died in New Haven, Connecticut. His widow Ann (? -1695) remarried James Clark in New Haven after the death of Wakefield-102.

Despite the similar names they're completely different people.
