Earlier this year this was said in answer to another Wikitreer’s question on Irish genealogy

Problem with Ireland,Almost all records from 1841 too 1891

have been destroyed by Irish Gov"t or by fire,”

Marion, that is true of the census records but not BMD records.

Now, through painstaking research and restoration, researchers at Trinity College Dublin have embarked on a project to digitally recreate the building and its contents in virtual reality.

When completed, people will be able to explore a reconstructed Public Record Office as it was before the fire, and access its documents in 3D virtual reality.

The project, expected to be completed in time for the 100th anniversary of the fire in 1922, aims to bring millions of lost historical and genealogical facts to a global audience.

@Jason

These archives held many details that touched on many aspects of Ireland, including births, marriages, deaths, wills, maps, parish registers and town records.

HI how is this link suppose to help me

It won't immediately but once that database is up and running you mat be able to find more information. Long wait maybe but better then nothing.

Grave shows 1883. Have you sent his exact date birth or Baptism.

Did find one Baptised March 7 1879.

Anthony, I've added all the sources I gave you the last time you asked about this couple onto Cornelius' profile.

This includes the birth of son John in 1915, which is from Irish Genealogy.

Of the names you mention, only Patricia's is on the gravestone, going by the image on FAG. The others are given in the FAG entry only. There is also a family on a tree on Ancestry that has the same offspring with the same dates.

If you look at the death record I added to that profile you can see evidence of another son who I will not otherwise reference as he may be living but there is a source for his birth. The birth location for Cornelius is incorrect on the FAG entry (based on his birth registration and as previously advised when you last asked about this family) and I have updated this on the profile.

Son James is the witness to Catherine/Kathleen Carroll's passing in 1962. I have added this source to her profile.

I am not sure how you are searching on Irish Genealogy but given the dates for the deaths are on the gravestone they should be easy for you to have found.

There are various Patricia Carrolls whose birth is registered in Dublin but the mother's maiden name is not recorded on these. There is also a Mary Carroll (assuming May is a contraction). John's is the only birth record that appears to be on Irish Genealogy (i.e. before 1917).

Have you tried a trial or limited subscription to Ancestry to help your research and/or asking the people on their with these people in their family trees?

Thanks Jason, I thought there was no sources for these profiles at all!
Jason thankyou so so much for your help it's very much appreciated
I tried a couple of links and they only go to the website, not to the individual record.
Marion, Anthony has been asking multiple questions about this family for some months. Answers given on previous questions were not reflected on the profiles and public domain information (such as the census and IG records) not consulted.

The links should take you to the files that are on the site - you'd need to go through the CAPTCHA process and give your name before they will display though.
