Correct Birth Date?

Question

I've searched multiple sites for the correct answer to this question - Did the father, Innocent Audet, and the son, Nicolas Audet dit Lapointe, die on the same day Dec 9, 1700?  Some indicate that Innocent died in France in 1670.  I find it suspicious that the father and son die together.

It also appears that Innocent's wife died on the same date.  Possibly they died of a common illness.

The answer relates to seeking out a primary source.  A notation in a parish record, or a head stone, now regarding France not sure what date they started providing death certificates.
