New to this...

Question

Hello! I am new to this. I have researched my father's family in the past and it was easy. I am now interested in researching my mother's family. They lived in Eastern Kentucky. From what I was told, the records for that area were kept in a church which burned down. This has made finding my family history on her side a real challenge. So far I have found this line of names starting with my mother's maiden name: Mayabb, Shockey, Landreth, McNabb... I get to the 1830s and everything stops. I could really use help. I am waiting to be approved so I can begin building what I know. Please keep checking back. If you know any information where my tree stops, please message me! Thank you!

Sarah Elizabeth Landreth Mayabb is an issue... In records I have found, she married a man named Hobbs, not Mayabb... also she is related to a Nancy J Landreth on my grandmother's side.... So the record says. Now I am confused.
