My Paternal Taylor line moved from Carter Co TN to Greene County TN in 1856. Prior to that my autosomal DNA shows many matches to Andrew Taylor II (1765-1846) and Isabella McNabb (1762-1849) and their siblings, who immigrated to pre-TN from Augusta/Rockbridge County VA circa 1778, and from Ulster Ireland (either Antrim or Armaugh) circa 1740.
I have recently joined FamilyTreeDna and taken my Y-37 test (kit 947676), which says my predicted haplogroup is I-M253, and branches I-DF29 and I-Z17954.
I have also joined Gedmatch and uploaded both my paternal (kit AW9829405) and autosomal (kit GJ1025302) DNA.
I am also a new member at yourDNAPortal.com at userid: DAVef8119b8.
If you are a Taylor cousin descendant from Isaac Taylor (1710-1781), who migrated from Ulster Antrim/Armaugh to Augusta/Rockbridge Co VA circa 1740 or later to pre-TN Watauga (Washington/Carter Counties) circa 1778, I would like to share DNA kit #s, and see how our matches align.
Also, I would be happy to share Tree info as well, and can be found on Ancestry.com as userid: DWT70759 or Wikitree.com at userid: Taylorj-68529.
I am new to the DNA side but have been doing genealogy research on my families since the 1980’s and welcome all replies.
Thanks,
Dave
