Does anyone have information on Lynns from VA?

Question

I have been researching my Lynn line for several years. I can't get beyond my 3x Great Grandfather James E. Lynn. He lived in Covington, KY and Cincinnati, OH. Have obit that says he was disowned by father for serving in the Union Army during Civil War. He was born in VA, but I don't know where. I did ancestry DNA to try to help me find links but haven't had any luck.

Do you have any guesstimate of when your James was born, any marriage, children, death info?

If your James E Lynn passed in 1881 and is buried at Spring Grove the original burial card is on the Spring Grove site here: http://www.springgrove.org/stats/35970.tif.pdf

It shows that he was born in Ireland.
