When do biographies of recently deceased persons become visible to the public?

How many years must pass before the biography in the profile of a deceased family member becomes visible to the public?

It's a beautiful profile you have made Loretta, you must miss Barbara terribly. Just one quick note. The biography mentions the names of her spouse and daughter who are presumably still living. You might want to edit these out. Thanks

Thank you so much Natasha.  I've removed the names of the living but also added that she had four granddaughters.  Incredibly, just 17 days before she died, her daughter lost a baby in the 8th month of pregnancy.  You're right about missing her.  We happened to be close in age and had many things in common.  Not only so but she was the only sibling of mine, except for a brother with dementia, whose home is or was fewer than four hours away.

The short answer is, whenever the manager of the profile decides to make it public. If they don't, then the Privacy help page states: 

• Profiles of people born over 150 years ago or who died over 100 years ago must be Open.

Technically speaking from a privacy level perspective, you made her profile "Public" not "Open".
