Does anybody have any information regarding the origin of the surname Goodale,  besides the usual "pub keeper"," brewmaster", etc. trades-related origins? Thank you,

Sincerely,

Frank Edward Goodale

Kennebunk, ME, USA

D.O.B.: 10/22/1950, Portland, ME, USA

Addenda: I am descended from Robert Goodale/Goodell, who arrived in Salem, Essex, Mass. on the Elizabeth in 1634. I inherited Goodale property in Wells, ME, USA which had been in the Goodale family since the late 1600's.
