Patty. Your instincts are good but you are hoping for quick results, it appears. Accuracy takes a bit of time...you seem to have proposed a merge yesterday and the PM of Schmidt-7155 hasn't gotten back to you...yet. On WikiTree, profiles are not deleted but are merged. Try to spend time sourcing Schmidt-8820 to make sure it represents the same person. The merge request may go into default (so the merge can be completed) or the other PM may determine that they are two different people- don't worry, corrections can happen.
Short answer...fill out as many profile details as possible while you are waiting- and do provide their sources. But don't plan on deletion. Okay?
