Mothers first surname wrong

I've just started researching into the French family of Nether Heyford, Northampton and I see that the mother's first surname is wrong. Find-a-grave website confirms this. The name on Wikitree is Woodward (Woodward-180) but it should be Wood. Obviously I can't change this so Help!!

Hello Sue, Do you have any other sources for Sara? I can't see anything on the findagrave entry that gives sourced information about her maiden name. Am I missing something? Maybe if we could find a marriage record for Sara and Thomas we could get confirmation of whether she was Wood or Woodward. Might also be worth looking to see if any of the baptismal records for her children show her maiden name. From a quick look at their profiles it looks as though the main source has been a book. Have you looked to see whether it makes reference to any original source documents?

Citing this Record

"Find A Grave Index," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q2DJ-CQB9 : 6 December 2016), Sara Wood French, ; Burial, Nether Heyford, South Northamptonshire Borough, Northamptonshire, England, St. Peter and St. Paul, Nether Heyford; citing record ID 170729845, Find a Grave, http://www.findagrave.com.

Yes, I looked at that record, but the only evidence I could see of her maiden name was that whoever transcribed the record from findagrave to familysearch has added unsourced information from findagrave. Can you explain to me where Wood is actually sourced on the original findagrave page?
ah ok, thanks for explaining
Think I've found it
That is the one I looked at. I still don’t see where they got their information from. There is no headstone photo with her name on and no link to a burial record.

You might find some of these records useful as you develop the family further:

There were no records for either Wood or Woodward on freereg in that period.

I also checked the images from the  parish register on ancestry, definitely no Wood or Woodward born in 1620 or the years on the page before and after.

There is also no marriage between a Thomas French and a Sara in 1636. There is just one wedding recorded in that year .

The first child of Thomas and his wife Sara was Patience baptised in Nether Heyford ;16th of September 1637 (actually the entry is in latin, her name is written as  Patientia )  so they may possibly  have been married the year before but as to where?

edit realised I had written Sarah with an h but it was Sara in the baptismal entry I viewed
I have added the children from both of his marriages. Guess I'm just going to have to visit the graveyard :-)
I have an awful lot of Sarah unknowns in my family from Northamptonshire!

What connection do you think she may be to the Sara in the original question?
I'm doubtful that it is the same person, but i'm trying to just throw something out there giving a "wood" combination. why not? your not always gonna find the correct answer right away. you got too look around the bend Lynda XD
Not the right one unfortunately but thanks for trying.
